Maude Baum has made dances inspired by clouds, germs, tomatoes and atoms, so when the Imagination Celebration was looking for someone to turn rocks into movement, the call, of course, went out to Maude.
It was a natural challenge, said Baum, a 23-year veteran of the local scene. She knew what to do. She asked for slides and she asked for a composer.
The slides came from ``Splendor in Stone,'' an exhibit that has been on the walls at the State Museum for the last few months. The composer arrived in the form of Michael Christopher, a musician who moved to the Capital Region recently from Oklahoma.
